Creative sustainable development goals

Picapipe is proud to be a full partner in the Erasmus+ funded project “CSDGs: Embracing the Sustainable Development Goals through Creative Arts." Before we give you a glimpse into the inspiring and productive training event in Austria, a short description of the project is provided.

“CSDGs” uses Storytelling, Dance and Digital Games as three Creative Arts for creating more awareness of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The innovation of the project lies in using the Creative Arts as a means to enhance Creativity, a key competence which has been identified by the World Economic Forum as one of the sixteen 21st-Century skills set. The key goal is to instill creative skills in Creative Young Practitioners and VET teachers to empower them to creatively work towards attaining the SDGs identified: Life Below Water, Quality Education and Gender Equality. The partners are Copernicus Science Centre, Warsaw, Fondazzjoni Kreattivita' Spazju Kreattiv, Malta, OFF Alapitvany Hodworks, Budapest, Hungary, University of Malta\Artificial Intelligence, Lignin Stories as well as Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children's Books.

After the kick-off meeting in the beautiful north of Malta the first training event was held in Austria. There a diverse group of game designers, storytellers, AI experts and dancers worked on first concepts for the three SDGs. Focus groups organized by Picapipe tested first prototypes for the games on Gender Equality as well as Life Below Water. Interesting talks on Game Studies, Gamification, Game-based Learning as well as Nudging laid the foundation for the following workshops. We really look forward to the coming meetings in course of CSDGs in England and Poland ;).
